The Primary School Games manuals follow the same detailed, progressive and developmental structure as the Val Sabin, Gymnastics, Dance and Athletics manuals and contain a comprehensive teaching guide, four units of work for each year group, and an informative section on teaching games skills and concepts.

These manuals offer a true multi-skills approach to the teaching of games. This approach allows children to progress through individual skill development, pair work and small teams with numbers and environments designed for success. These lead into small-sided mini-games of nine different types of game from target, net/wall/court games; striking/fielding games and invasion games.

The comprehensive programmes for Reception Key Stages 1 & 2 (4-11years) with the wide variety of practice and game challenges, provide the children, including those with special needs, with rich experiences of cooperation, problem solving, creativity and teamwork. The programmes are designed to enable children to reach Key Stage 3 as coordinated, balanced individuals fully understanding the benefits of teamwork and sporting behaviour with many versatile skills that will be a good foundation for achieving excellence in their chosen games in Key Stages 3 & 4 and in later life.

There is also in the introduction, a break-down of International Education levels and ages to increase it's user-friendliness in countries other than the UK.
