The ActEi one day course

Why choose ActEi?

If you’re working with children aged between 4 and 9 and are looking for a fun, active and simple way to help improve their physical and all round development, then ActEi is for you. ActEi is a movement programme designed primarily to improve children’s co-ordination, balance, spatial awareness, muscle tone, visual skills, calm and relaxation, body awareness, reflexes and tactile sense.

Through the use of the fun games, creative play and guided techniques children also gain increased self confidence, social skills, wider vocabulary, cooperative abilities and imagination and creativity. An important element of ActEi is how to improve children’s emotional self concepts.

Regular use of ActEi can lead to children gaining greater mastery of their body, increased physical skills and in the broader sense their emotional, social, language and cognitive abilities.

What’s the content of the day?

The one day course is a healthy balance of fun practical sessions and insightful theory. It covers how to play the range of games with their variations for differentiation across the age and ability ranges. It will also cover the planning and delivery of ActEi using the included age specific 6 week session plans into the PE lesson. The course will also cover how to implement the individual session plans with a class or using it to support a child’s IEP.

During the day you will be introduced to the included assessments, screening and monitoring sheets for those who wish to use the programme to identify needs and support children with special educational needs.
