GCSE In Physical Education - Theory
focus on anatomy and physiology - bones, joints, muscles, circulatory system,
respiratory
system, energy systems, excretory, hormonal, digestive systems, health, fitness
and
performance, principles and methods of training, fitness testing, reasons for
participating in
physical activity, diet, health and hygiene, factors affecting performance, safety
in sport and
injury prevention, treatment of sports injuries, skill acquisition and psychological
factors.
GCSE In Physical Education - Sport In Society
Focus on changing patterns of work and leisure, coaching, factors affecting individual
participation, professionalism / amateurism, mass media influence on sport, funding
and
facilities and social and cultural aspects of sport.
GCSE In Physical Education - Practical
Focus on analysis of performance, athletic activities, dance, games, gymnastic
